A quiet small and intimate complex of cottages and apartments with lawns leading down to the water's edge Creek Gardens is ideally located close to countryside of outstanding natural beauty midway between Ryde's golden sands (4½ miles) and Newport. The village of Wootton Bridge is an eclectic mix of modern and Victorian buildings and also boasts the renowned Sloop Inn on Mill Square. Numerous child friendly sandy beaches are found nearby and for walkers there are five separate trails to follow from the village one of which leads to a little used cove Woodside Bay and can be reached on foot within 10 minutes or so from Creek Gardens. The creek is a favourite with yachtsmen and boaters and the nearby Mill Pond is rich in wildlife with resident herons egrets and kingfishers whilst the rural landscape is home to red squirrels foxes badgers and dormice.

Visitors will find places of interest to suit all ages and tastes including the Roman Villa at Brading a wax museum housed in the island's oldest domestic building dating from 1499 The Isle of Wight Steam Railway the Butterfly and Fountain World interactive dinosaur museums Carisbrooke Castle Osborne House the Botanic Gardens at Ventnor traditional craft studios and Firestone Copse with its picnic sites and walks. A short drive leads to Cowes host to regattas every summer as well as the famous Cowes Week whilst the natural harbour at Bembridge throngs with yachts and pretty houseboats.

A wealth of outdoor activities can be readily accessed – golf riding sailing cycle hire and fishing are all found nearby and windsurfing jet skiing sailplane flying and hang gliding are also available.
